My iphone asks for a four digit code to pair as a bluetooth device with my sony xplod, how do i enter the 4 digit code into my sony xplod?

You enter a code on the source device, enter the code again on the head unit (using the remote control is the easiest way to do so), and the two devices connect.

Hello...i am using sony ericsson k550 i had a trouble in that i cant send any files through bluetooth my bluetooth is not working pls any one tell how to solve this prob

Make sure your phone and the other Bluetooth device are charged, switched on and within range of each other. Make sure Bluetooth wireless technology is turned on, and that the devices are set to be visible for other Bluetooth devices. Check that the two devices are paired, and have found each other. If there are still problems, you'll have to reset the connection and pair the two devices again.

In some Bluetooth installations, you must activate a COM port manually in your computer. This is done differently for different brands and models of Bluetooth devices. Please see the manufacturer's product documentation.

If a COM port is not activated

1. In many cases, you can right-click on your phone icon in the window where all found Bluetooth devices are shown, and select a 'COM port activation' item in the menu. Make a note of the COM port number of the activated port.
2. Open Sony Ericsson PC Suite and click Tools/Phone Monitor Options.../Com Ports. Enable the COM port you activated in step 1.
3. Keep the Bluetooth wireless technology turned on in your phone, restart the computer and try to connect again.

Blackberry won't pair with sony bluetooth

Can you try these steps even if you have already failed - so it is clear exactly where your problem lies and how your blackberry is behaving.

Turn on your Sony device and activate the bluetooth feature, set it to pair or search for a device (if this is a headset, it will search automatically, once it is turned on)

On your Blackberry choose the bluetooth option and enable

At your next prompt, when asked ensure your bluetooth device is in pair mode - Say Yes

It will go through a searching for devices screen

Here you will find a list of bluetooth devices in your range that can be paired - (these devices should include your sony)

If at this point you get a message stating no new devices found - Say Ok

Do you see a list of previously paired devices which includes your Sony?!

Let me know how you get on with the above, and what if any error message you receive.

Pairing Problem

It may be that the phone does not play music through bluetooth and that it only plays through the earphones that come with the phone. The only way to find out is to read the documentation on the phone or try another bluetooth headset, really. The headset cannot be faulty as it pairs correctly and it works with calls. Bluetooth headsets are not really intended for playing music as it drastically reduces battery life.
