You may try to see if the plunger is in a down position, if so you may be able to take a screw dirver or punch of some sort and drive the plunger back into the head and free up the nail that is wedged in the feed chamber. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Suspect we have a finishing nail under the agitator...how do we remove the agitator? model KAWS750LT1 I know how to get the fabric softener dispenser off

Hello,
To remove the softner dispenser just grasp the outsides of it and pull up,or wiggle it side to side.It fits into the agitator by pressure and has no clips or screws.
If you dont find the nail there under the agiator the inner tub would need to to removed to see if it's in the outer tub. To remove the inner tub a special tool is needed.

the trigger valve could be causing a lot of your problems, you are correct in ordering the o rings and trigger valve, make sure to lightly coat the o rings before installl. If you have trouble with the valve I have detailed instructions in the TIP section on how to remove safely.

Hitachi nail gun,piston/nail push rod wont retract after pushing nail (stays protruding out of gun so the remaining nails stay underneath it

You have one or more worn o-rings in the head of the gun. They direct the air to the proper parts of the gun to first drive the nail then to return the driver to the top of the gun for the next nail. Depending on the manufacturer and your model number, some companies make kits to replace the o-rings (always replace all of them). For some companies you have to get a breakdown of the gun and order each o-ring seperately.

The inner basket may be also bolted to the transmission. If left in there, they will end up in the pump. If this is a steel tub machine, you can buy a good sized magnet, and leave it in the wash basket, near the problem area. The nails should collect on the other side, and hopefully keep them from spreading significant harm, until you can get them out of there. You may be able to **** them out with a good strong shop vac.

2 nails shoot at the same time

It could be just from using poorly clipped or collated nails. I have noticed that with some cheaper nails, the clipped heads are not all lined up properly. If a nail has rotated slightly during the collation proccess, the unclipped portion of the nail head protrudes over the previous nail in the clip. This causes the heads of two nails to be struck at once. Another problem I've encountered is collation wire that doesn't shear off with each nail. An ever lengthening strand of wire protrudes into the nail chamber and eventually the driver snags this wire as it drives a nail. This jerks the clip forward forcefully forcing more than one nail into the chamber or causing the next nails in line to rotate slightly, thus exposing the unclipped portion of the nail heads to the driver.

Hitachi NR83A2 nailer pushes next nail down

Are you using full round head nails?

The hissing indicates your O-rings are worn out and need to be replaced. This is not covered by warrenty and is common for all nail guns. Lots of kits are available on Ebay or your local Hitachi service center should stock them.

Hope this helps,

Cheers

Agitated with my agitator and spin cycle

Your problem could be with your transmission, which is located directly above the drive belt pulley under the wash tub. If they go bad, your motor will still function normally, but the wash tub will not spin or agitate. Now, another possible problem could be a nail or screw stuck in one of the wash basket holes pressing against the outer tub. I have personally seen this a couple of times. A dry wall screw or nail will stop the wash tub from spinning and cause the drive belt to smoke as the motor pulley turns, but the belt stays stationary. That could be the source of your smell. If you're a do-it-yourselfer or do a lot of carpentry work, you may have washed some clothes with a nail or screw in them. Inspect all the holes in the wash basket throughly. A nail or screw can easily be missed if your not looking for it. I hope this may help you.

Wont spin

Terri, if it was the lid switch, you wouln't be able to drain. If it were the coupler, it wouldn't agitate. Sounds almost like you have something in between the basket and tub, or a nail or something in one of the basket holes stopping the spin. You will need to remove the cabinet and remove the top tub ring to check these things out. I will attach a couple of photos for you to see if this will help you out. If you have nothing holding the basket up then more than likley it's your basket drive which is a pretty hard job...Catriver..post back
