It depends on the razor. If you have a non-rotary razor, go in diagonals, against the grain and in small circles. If you have a rotary, like a Norelco, larger circles and straight up/down. I find it hard to get all the hairs so, I also use a regular razor blade in the shower and just do my neck.

Sorry I thought I was on a different question. Are you talking about the battery life in terms of times between recharges, or in terms of useful life. If it's in terms of useful life many years. If you are talking between recharges, then 30 - 45 minutes.

I used my Worx trimmer successfully last season. This spring when I went to use it, it would not hold a charge. The light shows green on the charger but the trimmer only works for about a minute before...

Your battery is shot. I had one of these, the batteries are really cheap and don't last long. If you can afford it, ditch the Worx and buy a quality trimmer at your local hardware store. If you are short on cash you can buy new batteries online.

I installed 3 new heads but the shaver just is not shaving off my 5 day old beard... It's battery seems fine as the motor seems to be running at normal speed. Confused Carl

Your Norelco shaver is not designed for cutting 5 days of growth. Your shaver is designed for cutting one, maybe two days of growth only. Use the trimmer on the back to cut the whiskers to a shorter stubble. Then the hairs will more effectively poke through the holes and slots in the combs allowing the blades to shave them as designed.

How to remove rechargeable battery for norelco 7864

hi minglim, welocme to the forum!
Replacing a Norelco Shaver Battery Things You'll Need:Torx screwdriver set Rechargeable Ni-Cd AA battery 1)Slide up the sideburns trimmer on the shaver .2)Try the various torx head screwdriver sizes to find the fit for the two screws holding the top of the back shaver cover on. Unscrew the two screws that are under the sideburns trimmer that hold the back of the shaver on. On some Norelco shavers, the back will now slide off if you apply downward pressure on the shaver's back. Other Norelco shavers have one or two torx screws on the base of the back cover on the shaver; if so, unscrew them also. Place the screws in a safe place. 3)Take the back cover off the shaver. Some shavers may have a strap fastening the battery down. Unfasten the strap if there is one. Take out the battery. 4)Replace the old battery with a new rechargeable Ni-Cd AA battery. Re-fasten the battery holding strap if there was one. 5)Replace the back shaver cover and re-screw in all the torx screws,

Will not seem to charge and turn on

The rechargeable battery has degraded and should be replaced to get back optimum performance.

If you can solder and disassemble the razor yourself, you can buy a new replacement battery and do the repair yourself. If you prefer to have it done by a qualified service center, you can contact Electric Shaver Service in Nebraska at 1-888-476-1785 for an estimate, they are quick and turn around repairs usually within a week of receipt.

You can also check their site to find the battery you need for your razor, if you want to do the repair yourself, just look for your model number to confirm the correct replacement battery.

Problem shaving

People, never ever buy the Braun body cruzer!!!! It does not mather which version/type you buy, with 'all' versions the big trimmer fails to work after aprox, 18-24 months.

I have bought three version of them, the first one stopped working totally after about a year. With the second one the large trimmer blade did not work anymore, so I bought the newest cruzer version (shaver #3 by then) in the hope Braun would have solved this problem. But NO, the same thing happend. After 18 months the trimmer is broke and I can throw my shaver in the bin because you buy this thing for the trimmer.

Now about 3 years later I have in total bought 3 cruzer shavers from Braun and all are broke (i am also almost broke, those things are pretty expensive here). And of course Braun does not help, they just say you are beyond warranty or did not take good care of the product. But I did, I keeped it clean with the little brushes, I put oil on blades/parts, and when I had shaved in the shower I made dry.... so I wonder what Braun means with "taking good care for your product" but i think they mean something like: buy a new one and give us some more of your money.

I will NEVER buy a Braun product again! And be warned people, don't say you where not warned for this product when you buy one and is goes broke within a year.
