Hi,

The brand of RAM is not important, it's the type, you'll need SDRAM for that and an AGP4X type of graphics card... here's some several selections
GEFORCE4MX440SE/6M AGP4X
SIS 315, 256-BIT AGP 4X VGA CARD
GREEN ATI 7000 SERIES CARD

Hope this helps... Just don't forget to rate - thanks.

Hi,

As far as I can tell from the info you have given, your system can hold a maximum of 2GB of RAM. (1GB per slot.) It is DDR2 PC2-5300 Non-ECC, unbuffered, RAM.

You can go to www.crucial.com and run their scan program to be sure. It is safe and will tell you exactly what it takes, what you have now, and the max it will hold.

As far as graphics, you have a PCI Express x16 slot for a graphics card. Here is a link to Tiger Direct PCI express cards listed by customer rating. There are lots of choices here depeding on how much you want to spend.

Tiger Direct PCIe Graphics Cards

Lastly, here is a link to the HP support site. http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

They have a detection button that will also tell you exactly what your system is and provides a lot of information you may not have now.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using Fixya.

Graphics card and psu upgrades

In general I would never recommend to upgrade a fixed (mass production or brand built) PC. Also with these specs if your are trying to make a gaming PC out of it you are going to be disappointed. Never the less if you still want this I can only suggest to go for the bigger PSU like GS800 so the GPU could work a bit better plus a set of ram for a total of 8.

I want to upgrade the Graphic Card , Ram, and Hard disk please advise me , is it possible to istall dedicated graphic card and What Ram slot is there DDR1 or 2 and what size i can upgrade. Further what...

Graphic card Just make sure you plug your monitor into the new card and the hard drive is easy to do remove the old hard drive and it will tell you what type it is.
Ram you need to go to the computers manufactors website(I would have looked it up for you but you didn't say what brand and model# it is) and look under support for upgrades to see what type of ram your computer uses you can not just put in any type you want.

Can I install a secondary graphics card in Acer Z5801 all in one pc

Yes you can upgrade the Graphics Card on the Acer Z5801. There is an optional Graphics Card slot on the Motherboard and you will need an Acer Geforce GT 530 Graphics Card. They come in 1GB and 2GB but quite rare to find. Your best shot is an Acer Distributor. For more help have a look at the link below:

Can I upgrade my graphics card for my Gateway NV59C41U laptop?

Yes here is a link to a nifty way to have an external PCI Express slot on your laptop where you can add any PCI Express Video Card! :)

If you have 4GB of ram then you need to have a 64 bit processor or you will have a 4GB cap with the video card ram and the ram installed I believe.

I cont play 3d games graphic card is there in acer aspire 4720z

* The system configuration of Acer Aspire 4720Z PC Notebook is :

160 GB or larger hard disk drive / 5-in-1 card reader / 512 MB or 1GB DDR2 533 MHz DIMM module / Intel Pentium dual-core mobile processor technology T2310 (1 MB L2 cache, 1.46, 533 MHz FSB), Mobile Intel GL960 Express Graphics Chipset.

* Your system have "Mobile Intel GL960 Express Graphics Chipset" graphics accelerator card embedded in the motherboard. Like most of the laptops/notebooks, there is no room for upgrading the graphics card in the motherboard!

* But you can upgrade the RAM upto 2 GB using two DDR2 DIMM memory modules.

* If you want to play 3D games with better performance, switch to Windows XP SP2 and upgrade the RAM!

* If you want to upgrade the memory (RAM), you can check this site : http://www.laptoppartsexpert.com/c-60093-acer-aspire-4720-series-as4720z.html

To improve performance, increase the RAM from 512Mb to 1Gb or 2Gb.
The graphics card is part of the motherboard and therefore cannot be upgraded, BUT the graphics card used shared RAM (part of the main RAM) and you most likely can increase the video RAM by configuring the video RAM from the BIOS configuration.

Lenovo 3000 y410 graphic card upgrade?

Lenovo Y410 System RAM can handle up to 2GB of memory. Since the machine has 2 slots for RAM and you already have 1GB preinstalled with the computer all you need to purchase is another stick of 1GB RAM.

There is no chance of upgrading Graphics card since it doesnt have a video card slot and the preinstalled VCARD is onboard.

Should you have any other questions just please leave a comment.

Cheers~

There would be little problem upgrading the ram, however I can almost guarantee that the graphics is not upgradable. I would need to know more about the graphics hardware is in the computer. (i.e. integraded, graphics card, manufacturer, etc).

You can opt to 256MB graphics card from ATI Radeon. And rather suggest you for no need of processor upgrade instead u can increase the RAM for better results.

Thank you........!!!!!!!
