Loud Noise from HP Pavillion dv9500

Hi there, i have an HP pavalion dv9500 laptop and for about a month a loud whirring/buzz noise kicks in when I booted it up for about 20-30 seconds - it sounds like its coming from the top part of the key board along where the sound comes out. If I pressed the mute button it would go away temporarily,, but over the past weeks it has gradually gotten worse that I cannot have any sound on without the loud noise. I was thinking it could be a fan problem after reading through all your other similiar problems on this site that was noise related but I'm just not sure with it going away with the mute button.
I'm not a fabulous person with computers but need some help incase its extremely serious.

thanks.

Wine Enthusiast Silent Wine Refrigerator is making a loud buzzing/whirring noise.

Since this unit doesn't use a compressor, the only moving parts are the whisper fans inside of it that circulate the air. One of those fans may be going bad. If you are handy you can remove the back to see if all the fans are working but your best bet is to use the one year warranty and have a qualified techncian figure it out.

Fan like whirring noise from rear underside of car

This is most likely your fuel pump. The fact that it is loud, would indicate that it is probably 'on the way out,' and will need to be replaced.

My samsung 42 inch hdtv is making a buzzing noise

First. The whirring or buzzing sound you hear is the Color Wheel and it needs to be replaced. Second, since I do not know when and if the original lamp has been replaced it is a good idea to replaced the lamp. The bad Color Wheel is the one causing the set to shut down.

Hi,
Firstly check that the microphone level is down or turned off as this sounds like some sort of feedback that's being produced.

Check the microphone and try to play music again.

Please post back

Good luck.

Loud Fan and Slight Overheating

most likely sounds like your hard drive. Mine did the same thing starting that loud whirring noise and overheating a lot. i took it into geek squad at best buy and it cost 199.99 for the diagnosis of the problem and the repair ( if you want just a diagnosis its 69.99) and then had to buy a hard drive ( i went for the 320 GB for 109.99) and they installed it for free same day in and out. took the whole process about 5 hours on a friday afternoon.

Hp laptop dv9500 noisy and loud fan ...

The sound you are hearing is probably the fan, This fan has a noisy bearing and will eventually lock up and the fan will stop spinning and therefore the CPU will overheat and shutdown.
The fan needs to be replaced.
