Question about Sony CLIE PEG-NX60 Handheld

1 Answer

Clie T615 not reading memory stick

My Clie 615 can't seem to recognize my Lexar Memory Stick (not duo, not pro--the old, plain version) with MagicGate. Sony's site says it's compatible with my Clie and it works/is read fine by my card reader. But Clie tells me to insert a memory stick when this one is in the slot--doesn't even see it's there. Any ideas? I'm having the same problem on Clie NX60.  It's a supposedly genuine Sony memorystick pro magic gate. 1gb.  but the Clie simply wont recognize it, can't format. in MS Export it claims "no memory stick found". please help!

Either the stick is defective or the wrong format.

SOURCE: Sony Clie n760 memory stick not detected when inserted

Do you share this memory stick with other devices? If you pulled out the memorystick before the device(s) were finished closing the connection, the card may be corrupted. Another thing may be because your memory stick may be too large for your handheld to support. if you don't wanty to refund your $ just shrink the memory stick into a gig or less. You have to have a pc with a memory card reader that supports memory stick. just open up my computer> right click the memory stick> Fortmat and select a smaller size to format to.

My memory stick does not have a lock or unlock position.

Do not use the computer to erase a memory stick. If your pics are safely on the computer and you want to completely erase the stick, use the format function in the camera.

Memory Stick won't load on PC

tyr looking for a firmware or an update on the net for your memory card reader.  It should be easy to find.  And update. Since the flash memory card isn't the problem it's either your card reader is too old and can't support that size of card or the reader need an update.
