Reddy heater r35

I have a Reddy Heater R35. There are two wires going to the ignitor; one red and one white. Does it matter which terminals each of the wires go to.

Re: reddy heater r35

No it doesn't - the ignitor goes to printed circuit connectors on your control board. the ignitor operates on 120 volts ac. for repair parts on any reddy heater go to www dot desatech dot com

My reddy heater ignitor button will not click

No click at all? Replace the ignitor. Click but no spark, the wire broke off the sparker.

Find a replacement where you got the heater or at any full service gas supplier (dont forget the guy that sells BBQ equipment)

Piece of garbage

sounds like one has a bad ignitor and the other needs a new flame sensor. Check Mr. heater, all the parts are basically the same, just splice your wires to the old harness. No hot wire or ground so it does'nt matter how you hook them.

Reddy heater model 28725

propane heater uses a hot surface ignitor. this operates off 120 volts and glows red/orange when actuated. it stays lit throughout the heater on operation.  on the backplate of the combustion chamber is a high limit with two wires coming off it.  these two wires connect to the spade connectors on the flame detector cappillary.  Once you establish a fire, the flame detector generates a 750 millivolt signal which is applied to the pilot/main valve assembly.  My diagram will show this. 1fa8284.jpg
