Question about SanDisk Sansa c250 (2 GB) MP3 Player (SDMX7-2048)
I hook it up to my car stereo, only certain songs will play, the unit skips the rest.
All the songs it skips have been downloaded from yahoo music unlimited. I have contacted them and this is waht they had to say.....
Based on the symptoms you describe, we suggest you update the firmware
for your device, as this has corrected a similar issue for other Yahoo!
Music Jukebox users.
Firmware is another word for software. In some cases, a device may be
shipped with software that does not recognize certain portable devices
or services. However, newer software is often available from the
manufacturer's website, and this can be downloaded for free to update
We suggest you contact your device manufacturer for assistance with this
CAN YOU HELP ME????
From what you say, connectivity is not the problem. More likely the format of the songs is not supported by the car stereo.
The music that you downloaded from Yahoo may have DRM (digital rights management) attached to the tracks, especially if you had to pay for the music.
If you have paid for these tracks then you are well within your rights to download these tracks (for free) as plain old MP3's from P2P sources.
My candid opinion is that anyone paying for music that cannot be copied or transferred to another device in the first place is a little bit too honest for their own good.
