Hook it up to the "B" speaker output terminal, then make sure you have the speaker selector switch on the front set to "A+B". Hope this helps

I have a Pioneer VSX-1123-k receiver and a Klipsch SW 450 subwoofer and the connection is not clear. Can anyone help?

Should be an rca connector on the back of the receiver marked subwoofer or sub preout. connect that to the rca connector on the sub and it should be good to go.

How do I connect a TEAC Equalizer to a Pioneer VSX - 406 receiver?

In any 'connection' question there are at least two participants and specific answers require specific details of all parts.

Outs to Ins, usually in a Tape (Monitor) Loop. REC is OUT, PLAY is IN from the receiver's perspective. The EQ will have its own Tape Loop for other processors or tape decks. Same conventions apply.

ANY analog processor can only be used for analog stereo sources. As soon as you engage the monitor for the Tape Loop on the AVR any digital source will be silenced.

I just bought a subwoofer and I cannot get it to work. I changed the receiver setting to SW = YES. Where is the correct place to plug it in the receiver, there are two subwoofer outlets.

Here's your manual. Check Pg. 9 for correct Sub Woofer connection. Leave the SW=YES setting as is if you any small speakers in the system. It can be set to SW=PLUS if you want all bass signals sent to the Sub Woofer. It should only be set to SW=NO if no Sub Woofer is connected. Experiment between the YES and PLUS settings and leave it where it sounds best to you.

If this was helpful, please rate it "4 thumbs up" - thanks & good luck!

Subwoofer wont work

on the back of your pioneer audio/video receiver, you will plug the cable into the subwoofer pre out (back of your receiver) then connect this same cable to your subwoofer.

Subwoofer amplifier

Here's how I'd do it... connect the subwoofer pre-out to one of the unused analog inputs (CD or CD-R perhaps?). Turn on Zone 2 by pressing the MULTI-ZONE ON/OFF button. The MULTI-ZONE indicator will light.

Press CONTROL. (Zone 2 should display) Use the INPUT SELECTOR dial to select the source for the zone you have selected. In my example, CD or CD-R.

Of course, you'll need the sub hooked up to the Surround back speaker terminals.

Here's a link to the manual online:
Pioneer VSX-1018 Manual

Things to keep in mind:
The Surround Back setting must be set to ZONE 2. See page 41 of the manual.
The volume level going to the sub will probably need some tweaking. Check out page 7 to see how to manually adjust volume levels, or get it close by adjusting the Master Volume while in Zone 2 control.

I'm not sure if the auto setup function (with the included microphone) will work properly with this setup. And, of course, this is not a "suggested" setup by Pioneer, so please use caution when hooking everything up.

Good luck!

Pioneer VSX-505S Subwoofer Installation

That type of subwoofer is not used with this receiver. This receiver actually outputs no power for a subwoofer, therefore only needs a plain ol' rca signal wire. This is due to the fact that you need a powered sub... one that you plug in to the wall and it has its own built in amp. you simply run an rca from yyour 505s to that sub.
