Try re-installing the WEBcam driver. You can download the WEBcam and device drivers from ASUS WEB site. Select your model motherboard/computer/laptop, and make sure you select drivers that matches your Windows operating system. Please click on this link to their WEB support site : - http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
To speed up your computer/hard disk then you need to maintain your hard disk. Hard
disk maintenance should be carried once a month. This
removes redundant and temporary files, recovers disk space and speed up hard
disk access. Disk Cleanup should be done
first - Click My Computer - then right click on the C drive then click
Properties, then click Disk Cleanup - let it examine the C drive then it will
calculate the amount of disk space it will recover, tick all the boxes to
recover the maximum disk space and then Click OK and then Yes to perform
these actions. If you have a D drive then repeat these steps on this drive too.
Hello,
Shutdown the computer and disconnect webcam. Restart computer then after full boot, attach webcam and test to see if webcam works. If this does not solve the problem restart the computer with webcam attached. If this does not solve the problem then the webcam may be broken. If this is an internal webcam I recommend contacting the manufacturer.
webcams dont have mics...the mics are built into the bezel around the screen and are controlled by the sound drivers. You have to use the webcam software to link the sound drivers to your webcam software so the two work together when you are on video messaging. Check into the webcam software documentation. I know that when I was setting up my webcam in Gmail, it was linked to the sound drivers automatically.
