A repair if total dead is possible. Follow the money or the voltage in this case from cord to switch and from there to power supply--should be AC or wall voltage up to the power supply and then get rectified (changed) from AC to DC.

If no AC voltage past the switch--test it with a ohm meter--off no reading, on a reading etc.

Check the adjustable guides in your paper tray. Make sure they are up against the paper all the way around. This is the most common cause of what you describe. The machine uses the positions of these guides to determine what paper size is loaded. If this does not work there may be an issue with the tray itself.

It appears that the printer is having problems reading the e-label on the print cartridge. Remove and reinstall the print cartridge, then press the Select button. That should clear the problem.

Remove the rear door by pulling it down and squeezing the left tab to remove it.

Press the blue hooks and remove the fuser. Look for a worn coating on the gray roller.

you need to replace the chips so it will read the amount of pages printed by the toner cartridge.This chip is only for measuring how many pages printed.
