The manual focus ring on my camera doesn't work. The ring turns but does not seem to adjust the focus. Automated focusing still works. How to fix it?

Two methods:-

1. Use the slider switch on the left of the camera to set it to MF (manual focus). The focus ring is an electronic one rather than a physical control like the zoom ring, so the response can seem slow.

2 Go into the camera menu and enable DMF (Direct Manual Focus). This allows you to override the autofocus simply by adjusting the focus control, but it does not work if the slider switch is set to the AF C setting (continuous autofocus), it only work in the AF-S (AF only activates once when the shutter is half pressed).

Les Error, cannot get in focus when in auto focus. I when itry and use the zoom I get a lens error and retry power on

the lens unit was not extend properly and cause of turning off once you turing on and zoom out.If you can open the camera and get the lens unit. Try to open the lens unit and clean it and try to rotate to the maximun position but dont put too much force. if you cannot do that bring it to service center

Pictures taken sometimes are blurred

Focus is not set correctly, have you dropped the camera while zoom is out? This can affect it. Take it to a camera shop and they can help.

D90 won't autofocus at distance

Mine seems fine. The only other thing I would think to check is the focus lock is off and the focus area setting.

Casio exilim EX-S500 overexpose

If the photo shoot out show white , the obscure (quality variation), and even horizontal line ( white lines), and so on over-exposure cases, even if the use of anti-tremor, set to default values are invalid, because the camera shutter fault.

It's need repair camera machine shutter.

Casio Exilim s500--horizontal lines in picture and autofocus creates blurry pics

It appears this problem is due a failing CCD device in many brand cameras. All the manufactures use the same source(s). I have not persued Casio as yet, but other companies are offering a recall to replace the CCD for free. I plan to use this approach with Casio. Search the web for "failing CCD in digital camera", it describes exactly what we are observing.

Lens does not come out anymore- crunching sound!

Sounds like there might be some kind of lens damage. If you call Casio repair center they may be able to give you a ballpark figure on what it would cost to send it in and have it fixed. The way you described it sounds like what they call a "lens error". Give them a call at 800-706-2534 and then keep choosing option 1.

This is a CCD failure. Go to the Casio Tech support team. There has been an issue with a batch of CCD's and a recall on certain models of all makes This may be one of them
