Question about Motherboards

Windows\system32\config\system please could u help? my pc keeps coming up with the a problem every time i try and boot up. it says the above file is missing and i can attempt to repair by starting windows setup with the original setup disc. when i put the disc in and press r like stated nothing happens apart from the same message coming up. Ive also tried another windows setup disc which the same happened. i cant seem to erase the harddrive through the start up menu aswell my motherboard is a jetway v600da/dap and it windows xp pro service pack 2 any ideas would be helpfull thank you Christopher Mullen

You may need to go into your BIOS and change the settings so the PC boots from the CD, not from the HDD. It should then start up and allow you to reinstall or repair.

As you said you dont have drives in the computer you can use an usb external hard disk or usb cddrive you will need to reload the computer with the os or you have to install the fine to the computer by installing the Os boot disk cd to the external cd drive and boot on the cd and start the os instillation when the display comes to repair the winxp or or want to install the Os click repair the OS then wait for few minutes then enter 1 and make password nil then type in fixboot then enter then enter fixmbr and click enter then type exit then the system will restart

I get a "windows\system32\config\system" file not

you could run the check disk utility
click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive or
go to control panel administrive tools computer management you can right click on the drive select properties tools check now?tick in both boxes to scan for and attempt to repair/recover any bad sectors and automaticall fix any corrupt files
in xp

you need to reinstall your window or repair your window it cant log you in until you do not repair or reinstall your window

My cmd command never run, there is volume problem, I think mother board board problem is there what i do?

try to ran it from

c:\windows\system32\ cmd.exe

rightclick on it and select run as.

if its not working from there then in that case your system profile may be corrupted.In that case you need to reinstall windows.

No WindowsXP, corrupt file windows\system32\config\system

Sad to say but alot of the computer manufacturers send Windows install/restore disks that are basically hardwired to the original hardware setup. The only real solution if you cannot install over your old setup would be to purchase the full version of the Windows o/s you want to install. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. you need to repair or repair your operating system. but first you need to purchase this windows xp in order for you to repair this. yes you have a corrupted file in your system. the cause of this is the improper shut down, or a virus that infected a system folder
