Keyboard disabled. somehow disable my keyboard

Did you try Fn+F5? You can usually disable the touchpad but keyboard?
Try to uninstall the keyboard from device manager. Right-click on my computer->Properties->Device manager-Right-click on keyboard(HID keyboard device) and uninstall it. Then reboot your computer if you just disabled it windows will re-install the driver automatically and re-enable it

My key board is very slow.i have to hold down each key a second or too , to get the key board to type thank you bill

You probably have one of the following problems:
  1. Your keyboard has a short in it. Causing delay from pressing key to your screen
  2. Your CPU is high, this happens alot of times on my friends computer. He uses his computer for everything, but when he types his paper he gets confused after awhile because he thinks he's not typed anything. But after a second it catches up.
As for solutions, get a new keyboard or use a friends, if it's still happening, it's your computer. And for that, I'd get a disk defragmenter, then get CCleaner, also, unistall programs that you don't use anymore. Use these programs, see if this changes things.
Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Saitek Eclipse Keyboard Keys stopped working

this could very well be your OS as much as your keyboard. Try another board for a few days and see if it still happens. IF not...you found your culprit. Replace the keyboard or look for updated drivers if they exist.

Keyboard & Mouse Problem

Seems like you Ctrl-key is pressed all the time somehow.
Make sure that none of the Ctrl-keys is stuck.
If you try another keyboard, everything should work fine, so just check your keyboard. Maybe you need to replace it.

Keyboard has a mind of its own

HAHAHA. This is old but i found out what the problem is. Hope this helps some people. All you have to do is press the illumination button at the top right of your keyboard until the keyboard backlighting is turned off and now the keyboard no longer randomly types.

DELL KEYBOARD LOCKED

If you have another computer in your home unplug the keyboard and try the locked keyboard on that computer, then vice versa plug the other keyboard in that pc and see if another KB works. If it still does not work you can assume that it no longer works. I'd would then call dell let them know and if your still under waranty they will send you out another KB.
