Question about Westinghouse L1975NW Monitor
This is my daughter's monitor. She has it connected to a Mac mini. It has worked fine for around 2 years. It now takes up to 15 minutes to display a picture after the computer boots up. I have it now hooked to an old powerbook and have found that if I unplug the monitor from the wall socket (after the computer boots up), and then wait 30 seconds and plug it back in, the monitor light changes to green and the display comes on. If I do a restart on the computer the monitor comes back on like it should. It is only when the monitor sits for a long period of time that the problem occurs.
I did do a reset from the computer's menu, but it still has the same problem. I have switched out VGA cables and the DVI / VGA adapter with no change. She is now using another monitor from a friend and it works fine, so don't think the computer is at fault.
Your cold cathodes (tiny fluoresent lamps) and, the inverter (ballast) board in the monitor's screen; need to be replaced
