Took it apart to clean and i guess i haven't put something back in the proper place or order. the brushes drag on one side (with belt) and the self propelled portion does not work. help help help. my shampooer is not very old couldn't find shampooers in your list so in order to get this through i entered vacuums. thanks.
I don't know how to advise you on this. The Bissell is pretty complicated when you take the hood off. Under there is a number of things that must be in place correctly to replace the hood. There is a small plastic "rod" with an "o" ring on it that controls the shampoo mixture and that has to be positioned right to replace the hood. You may have to take the machine to an experienced shop to have it re-assembled. I don't think I can tell you all the little things you have to do to re-assemble it yourself.
In regards to the elevator, there are two arms that lift the brush off the floor when the handle is put in the upright position. This is so the brush will rotate freely while you use the hose. These arms break quite easily and are available from any repair depot in a set.
You may be able to get a schematic diagram from a warranty service dealer. They have a special "dealer only" web site that they can access to get repair and parts info. Usually, they can e-mail or fax you information if you're really nice to them. Smile when you're on the phone. :)

i took my bissell pro heat x2 apart, it was not dispensing nor vaccumming, i think i got some hoses in the wrong hook ups, where can i get a diagram of how the hoses should be connected
can't get roller back on
Elevator arm broke on right side. Got replacement part from Appliance Express Repair shop (in a set, only way to buy them). I also had to replace the "tools" disperser flap and gasket. Took hood off to replace items. I am now scratching my head after spending a couple of hours trying to get the "hood" back on correctly. I appreciate "domvac's" advice...it validates that I am not a "dork". I will try to get a schematic diagram from my service dealer as "domvac" recommended...but I am not overly optimistic. I wonder what they would charge for putting it back together...I am trying to save money by doing the repairs myself.
i took the hoses off inside and i dont know if i put them back in the right place i need a blue print
