Question about Microsoft MS Xbox 360 Common Controller (DHC8G00004)

1 Answer

One month old xbox 360, turning on and scrolling through the menus everything is cool. When I use a weapon or device that generates a high vibration I get an error message that the connection has been lost. I have tried increasing the tension on the battery springs and it makes a slight difference but is still very frequent. Any suggestions

My XBOX 360 wired controller is barely a month old and it has stopped working already. Every time I try to connect the controller to my PC (Windows 7), it says device not recognized. I have tried...

I have to ask the question have you contacted Microsoft about this issue? Since the device is only one month old it is still under full factory warranty. Also you question is confusing in that you talk about an xbox360 conrtoller that has stopped working but do not define if it stopped working with your xbox 360 and you are now trying to have an xbox360 device work with a PC instead of xbox360. Please get back to me with more accurate information. But you best bet is to contact microsoft since it is still under warranty.

best,

Brand new x box 3 months old will not turn on i can hear the beep but no green lights

sounds like you have a rare faulty device. I would definatly contact support. If its 3 months old you should be able to send it back for another one. More information on this process can be found here: https://myservice.xbox.com/en-US/pages/welcome.aspx

Hope this helps. Please rate.

2 red lights

Your xbox is overheating.
1. Let your Xbox 360 console cool. You may have to wait several hours for your console to cool enough. Don't turn on your Xbox 360 console when the console is hot. 2. Verify that your Xbox 360 console has enough ventilation and that the fans are operating. 3. If the two lights continue to flash after trying the above steps, you'll need to contact Xbox Customer Support.

Xbox 360 controller turns off at random, yet has new batteries

The battery indicator found when pressing your xbox logo button is temperamental. It might say 2 bars, or 3 or even full battery but this is not a good indicator of a full battery.

The problem IS low batteries(or more specifically - bad batteries) - when the batteries become low the vibration function can cause the controller to disconnect. This is happens because the vibration function uses extra battery power.

So basically... Every time your controller vibrates, it disconnects. This occurs when firing a weapon in most games, grenades in COD, landing heavy tricks in Skate 2, the list goes on, you'll find many complaints from people stating their controller disconnects specifically with these events.

The simple solution, turn off the vibration function when this occurs. It'll never happen to you again ^_^

Thumbs this up when it proves correct for you. I'd recommend a recharge while you play pack. ALWAYS by the official products too. They're much more reliable and aren't prone to this kind of behaviour.

Describe your Microsoft Xbox 360 Console Prob

Well, i thought it was RROD, but it wasn't. Just let your Xbox 360 console cool. You may have to wait several hours for your console to cool enough. Don't turn on your Xbox 360 console when the console is hot. Verify that your Xbox 360 console has enough ventilation and that the fans are operating. It might be over-heating.

My xbox 360 it has the 2 red lights flashing

The two red lights means it's overheated. One let it cool down, don't turn it on until it had good while to cool. Two give your 360 more ventilation room. If that's not enough buy intercooler for it. Remember just give it some room to breath. Get more cool air flowing through it and it should be fine.

Xbox 360 e74 system error

E74 is NOT caused by a bad AV cable, it is NOT caused by the ANA/HANA scaler chip. It is the solder points on the GPU that have cracked. You must use a heat gun and do the XCLAMP to fix it. Shops normally charge $75-100 to fix that.

Xbox 360 wireless control conects then disconnects randomly

The solution is VERY simple.

There is nothing wrong with your controller OR your xbox.

The battery indicator found when pressing your xbox logo button is temperamental. It might say 2 bars, or 3 or even full battery but this is not a good indicator of a full battery.

The problem IS low batteries - when the batteries become low the vibration function can cause the controller to disconnect. This is happens because the vibration function uses extra battery power.

The simple solution, turn off the vibration function when this occurs. It'll never happen to you again ^_^

Thumbs this up when it proves correct for you. People will find the solution quicker that way.
