Question about Malber Dryers

Malber WD1000 washer/dryer does not do high speed spin

My Malber WD1000 washer/dryer combination does not perform spin as the last cycle. It's keeps rotating, but not with high speed as before. As a result the clothes are still full of water. Dryer maybe still works, but it is obviously useless to dry clothes with so much water in it. What could be a problem, what part need to be replaced and it is possible to do myself? Is it make financial sence to replace? Thanks

    Hi,
I didn't notice long pause where spin supposed to be. Instead machine perform the same operation as in previous cycle-"permanent press". It is rotating but with low speed.

A possible clutch issue, please try to check if the weight balance of the clutch for the dryer is properly seated.

we shall try to look for a diagram to show the parts involved in this fault

regards.

This problem is most like cause by a malfunction in the control knob. If you notice a long pause before the unit goes into drying mode then it is the control knob. Control knobs are easily replaced After pulling the plastic knob you will see the screw that holds them. getting access to the back would require opening the top. On this machine they are locked by clip on the front that can be popped up. the rear would have screw. you can order the parts on line. Confirm first that it is bad. The long pause would be where the highs spin would have been.

Okay a final tour of how wshing machines work. The motor in the washing machine can turn in both direction. if made to turn one way a complex gear makes the agitator go back and forth. (thats the plastic thing in the middled of the round tub) When the motor turns the other way complex gear locks up so the whole tub turns thats what happen in the spin cycle. There is either a cluctch, a belt, or a plastic coupling connecting the tub to the gear spline. When they wear out you get a slow moving tub, like what you have. As far as the trouble of fixing it, it is very difficult for a novice. The good thing is the part dont cost that much, usually under 30 bucks. Solution to the problem is change the coupling device to the tub. I is not something an average person can perform. The heat from the dryer may have cause premature wear too, since that is a all in one model.

How do you get the water to drain in the Malber WD100 washer/dryer combo?

Hi. I''m assuming you are referring to a WD1000.
To initiate the drain cycle: Rotate far right knob CLOCKWISE to Position 4. It may take 30-45 seconds to recognize the knob's new position, but then it will begin an 11 minute Slow Tumble/Pump Out cycle. During this cycle you'll see the internal drum slowly rotate CW for 60 seconds, pause, then rotate CCW for 5 secs - then repeat. All this time the pump will run and you'll hear water running down the drain. When you hear no more water you can rotate same knob to "straight up", and stop the machine. To turn power off, press the rightmost button.

Final high speed spin very noisey

Something is causing the drum to be way out of balance. Does it bang and make noise when it's spinning empty? Probably not. Is something stuck on the side (inside of course) of the drum, causing it to shake when spinning? If not, a spring or shock absorber (connecting drum to sides, bottom or top of machine) has broken or come loose.

Does not drain and spin

It sounds as if you have a defective timer control. Try operating the washer on a different cycle, if it spins on these cycles the mechanical workings are fine it's an electrical switching problem in the timer.

Drum does not spin

I had similar problem recently. It turned out the main controller right above the drain hose exit on the back was the problem. I got a new board from MALBER and replaced it myself. It is working now.

Whirlpool washer front loader model LHW0050PQ

This is not a Malber machine but the following fix has worked for the Malber washer. Try unplugging the machine for at least 2 minutes. Do not just turn it off as there is still current going to the machine .This should clear the computer. If this does not work, the imbalance may have overloaded the circuit board requiring replacement.

Spin cycle won't get up to speed!?

Might be a control board problem. Contact Malber USA at 1-800-600-8913. They will have replacement part and, if the machine is still under warranty, the part is free.
