My GE dishwasher is leaking water from the bottom of the machine

I have 3 and a half years old GE dishwasher, GHDA450 series. It is leaking water from the bottom few seconds after I set it on. Before I noticed the water coming out from the machine I smelled like rubber burning and after that I saw the water coming out from the bottom to the front of the washer.

First check to make sure door gasket is ok, if bad, replace and test. Make sure to remove bottom front panel during a test and inspect the motor and motor gaskets. It may be leaking here, replace leaking components as needed.

Clean gasket with clorox to remove any funk, and apply vasoline to gasket to improve seal. If you still have water leaking, you will need to replace the seal on the dishwasher. Should be able to order from an appliance parts dealer, or they may provide a univeral gasket that would fit your machine.

Dishwasher is not draining properly. 1 year old

Check that there is nothing clogging the inlet to the pump below the strainer at the bottom of the machine and slowing down water getting to the pump. This will mean stripping down much of the bottom of the machine, but is unavoidable. Also check that the drain line is not blocked. If there are no problems there, the change over valve may be leaking and returning some of the water to the machine instead of draining it out.

I have ge dishwasher thats 3 years old and I'm having problems with it leaking from the bottom of the door. I replaced the seal once but I can't tell what else the problem could be. Any suggestions?

it could be overfilling. check the overflow float inside. if it is stuck down, the water level will get to high. the seal is not meant to be under water. it just stops splashing water. if it moves freely, it is okay.

My Bunn coffee pot leaks water theres always a puddle of water under the pot.coffee pot is over half full

It sounds like you have a broken seal/gasket. Please get the model and date code located on the bottom of the machine and call customer service. The machine has a 3 year warranty so if it is 3 years old or less, it will be replaced at no cost. If it is over 3 years old, it will be replaced at a discounted price.

Leaking

first check and make sure that the water is not leaking from the hose connection to the dishwasher or the drain fitting itself. If neither of these is the problem and it is definetly leaking from the housing then replace. I recommend the Badger series disposal with a 5 or 7 tear warranty I have installed them for years and never had a single problem.
