Ebrit24 - Remove the cyan supply and see if there is a small metal piece on it. This piece contains a microchip that the printer communicates with. If the printer can't read the chip, it won't recognize the supply. If the piece is missing, or it doesn't work when you reinstall it, return it to the store where you bought it for a replacement. If they won't, contact HP Total Care: http://h71036.www7.hp.com/hho/cache/309717-0-0-225-121.html?jumpid=ex_R602_UAG_home/ownerservices At that point there would be a longer list of things to try to isolate the cause of your issue, and HP Total Care is the best option. Offhand, I can think of 5 different reasons for the behavior you are seeing, but I'm betting the supply's chip is not programmed correctly. Trying another supply should fix it.

Hello,
probably it's bad chip on cartridge or the chip was not reset.
Try with new toner cartridge. If its new go to the shop where you bought it and replace for new one under warranty.( If you are lucky and they give you a new one :-) ).

Hope that helps!

Cyan toner missing message. on magicolor 330

Firstly - remove and reseat the cartridge. If problem remains: Replace the cartridge with a new one. It is possible the new cart is faulty. If problem remains: Cart Sensor unit should be replaced as follows (If you need a copy of the service manual, contact http://www.TheServiceManualShop.com) Removal 1. Remove the Fuser Assembly (RRP 9.80). 2. Reach inside the empty Fuser cavity and slide the Cartridge Sensor Holder forward to unlatch the Holder from the printer frame (Figure 1). 3. Move the Holder around until the side latches on the Holder line up with the cutouts in the frame and the Holder is free of the frame. 4. Disconnect P/J 87 from the Cartridge Sensor. 5. Remove the screw securing the Cartridge Sensor to the Cartridge Sensor Holder and remove the Sensor (Figure 2). Replacement 1. Position the Cartridge Sensor onto the Sensor Holder so the LEDs face out. 2. Line up the position tab and screw hole on the Sensor with the two holes in the Holder. 3. Use one screw to secure the Cartridge Sensor to the Sensor Holder. 4. Reconnect P/J 87 to the Cartridge Sensor. 5. Position the Holder against the Holder cutout in the printer frame. 6. Move the Sensor wire harness so it exit through the cutout at the rear of the Holder. 7. Move the Holder around until the side latches on the Holder line up with the cutouts in the frame. 8. Push the Holder forward until the front latch secures the Holder to the frame. 9. Reinstall the Fuser Assembly (RRP 9.80). If the problem remains, then the MCU PWB will need replacing. This could put the machine Beyond Economical Repair.

Everytime I change the cyan cartridge I get a message that cartridge is missing or damaged. In the past I've tried everything from the solution center and manual and problem has gone away even though I...

Make sure that the cartridges sit in the correct slots. Match the shape and color of the icon on the cartridge with the slot that has the same shape and color icon.

Press down on any cartridges that you find sticking up. They should snap down into place.

If a cartridge does not snap into place, you might need to readjust the cartridge tab.

Remove the catridge and gently bend the tab away from the cartridge. Be careful not to bend the tab too much

Reinstall the cartridge into its appropriate slot until it snaps into place and seats firmly in the slot.

Check if the issue was resolved

If not, make sure that the carriage latch is closed. The latch is located athe right side of the inks. Its the color blue latch beside the black cartridge.

If its still giving the same error message. Try cleaning the electrical contacts of the cartridges.

IF this did not resolve your issue, process a repair for the printer.

Excess cyan toner is on electrostatic transfer sheet even after wiping it. All black and white pages are printed with cyan background.I am even using original cartridges.

Since you have Cyan toner in places where it should not be then the only possible cause is a defective Cyan Toner cartridge. I worked on one just last week where the customer complained about Magenta toner on their prints. I also noticed Magenta toner on the Transfer Belt just as you see Cyan toner on the Transfer Belt. I replaced the Magenta Toner Cartridge and everything cleared up nicely. The Transfer Belt Unit can also cause similar problems but it would not be ONLY one color like Cyan. It would be a mixture of all colors. My bet is replace the Cyan toner and you will be fine. If you have an old empty one just shake it up a bit and try it as well. This might allow you to verify before buying a new cartridge.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

HP all-in-one not printing cyan color

Place a soft clean tissue paper over the cartridge print head and leave for about eight minutes. You can secure it with the aid of a rubber band. It should be held firm ok. If the tissue paper is not dampened by ink then the cartridge would have gone bad or the ink dried. You also know that they have expiry date and could go bad while yet in the packaging b/c it has expired. Good luck
