PSP-1001 Internet Connection Issue

I just updated my PlayStation Portable to the newest 5.51 firmware and I can no longer get onto the Internet. I go to get online a PlayStation Portable game and it connects and then loops from Exchanging Information back to Connecting. Any suggestions?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I dont know how to use the playstation store on my sony psp

First thing you need to do, is make sure you have the newest firmware installed. Either via wifi connection, or by going to PSN.com and downloading the newest firmware to a thumb drive to install it manually Then the "STORE" option should be available. The other option it to sync it with a PS3 and visit the store, then install from the PS3.

My PSP refuses to load games of any kind and will not load any other application while the game is in the PSP, but will work without any game in it and I have the newest update.

Must be a dysfunction of the UMD reader. Did you have the same issue with the previous firmware?
If not, try to 'downgrade' your psp to a previous firmware (can't be done with every firmware, make a quick search on google and you should find out if you can)
If the issue still occurs then its definately the UMD reader.

How do i download games on my psp

Hi liamloki,

To download games on your psp you'll have to update your firmware updated to the latest version. You can do it by installing it via memory stick or by doing it with an internet connection (make sure you have your system plugged in when doing the firmware update)

Once that's done you'll have to use your playstation network id (if you don't have one, create one) and acess to the playstation network on your PSP (you'll need an internet connection to do this).

Access the PStore and choose the games you want to download (it'll need valid credit card information since you're purchasing games). It'll start downloading the game onto your system and when it's done you should be able to play it!.

Hope this helped,
-Luchen

Go into web site says need browser update

the psp is not compatible with all websites, it is mainly meant for mobile sites, You could try updating the psp to the newest firmware to see if that helps, just be careful when you update.

Use a pandora battery to flash anny firmware you like.

You have updated your custom firmware with the original firmware from Sony.

You'll have to downgrade your firmware to update to the newest custom firmware using the pandora battery or update using the pandora battery to update directly to the newest custom firmware build.

Succes.

you can't update your psp from custom firmware(what you have) to official firmware (what your trying to get to) What you need is to upgrade your firmware from OE-A to M33. All you need to search for is 3.51 m33 creator.

Prob. with psp

It happens to mainly PSP-1001 Series. This error has nothing to do with your battery, ms duo, etc. You can try updating your firmware but the best thing to do is call Sony and they will swap it under warranty.
