Cannot configure belkin router

Locate the reset button on the back of the unit near the ac jack. Press and hold for 15 seconds. That should reset everything including the password. You will then need to reconfigure - leave the password blank initially then change as desired after it logs you in

I just received this in the mail and I am now trying to hook it up for wireless internet and phone service. HELP

First step: You need to make sure that your internet service is active that means the modem provided by your internet service provider is working.
next connect this router to your modem with ethernet cable provided. Use the WAN port of this router to connect to your modem
you are done with wireless part but you need to log in to the router to make it secure! If you need help with that please send a request!
Once you make router secure connect your phone service device (IP Phone) with ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports of the Linksys router. Power cycle (power down and up all devices) once if necessary!
good luck!

How to hook up to my modem, which wires go where? I have not used it in a while and cannot find the manual.

The port off to the side by itself is the one that should connect to your modem. If you have any wired computers, plug those in on any of the 4 grouped together. If the router does not function upon connecting everything, do a hard reset by holding in the reset button for 20-30 seconds. You will need to reconfigure it from a browser by visiting the address 192.168.1.1.

I have hooked everything up correctly but when i go to routerlogin.com it doesnt load. if i hook my computer directly to the modem the internet works fine. what do i do?

make sure your routers setting are correct ie:password user name, firewall settings to allow your internet to connect also test the lead/s whether usb or ethernet
if you have to set your router to factory settings

Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings.

or

if there a small hole in the front or back of the router push a hair pin in to reset to factory settings

hope this helps

Cable modem is connected to the router but the router is not working wireless or when connected via Ethernet cable

You need to check first if the internet is working if you connect your computer directly to the modem. If there is internet on your modem, you need to reset and reconfigure the router. If there is no internet on the modem, you need to contact your internet provider.

Router stopped working.

As long as the power light stays solid, then the router is fine. You need to reconfigure the router for it to receive internet connection from the modem.

Just got a new router (motorola) and airport will

Check your connections:

DSL-modem to telephone-jack (or cable-modem to cable-jack).

Ethernet cable from DSL-modem (or from cable-modem) to WAN port on your router.

Ethernet cable from LAN port on router to WAN port on your Airport.

Cut the power to the Airport, and then plug it back in, so that it restarts.

on your computer try to reinstall the device driver for wireless. try to connect the ethernet cable directly to the computer. if you have internet access, then most likely your netgear router needs to be reconfigured. you need to contact your internet service provider or router manufacturer for the reconfiguration of your router. mostly likely the security settings of the router needs to be changed.

Hooking ethernet to broadband router and cable modem

Hi Sherry - The etherport port on your modem should be connected to the WAN port on your router. You then connect your pc to one of the 4 ethernet ports on the router. If this answers your question PLEASE rate this as fixed. If you need more help just add a comment and I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks.
