I too was getting the "400 Bad Request" message in Chrome but other browsers could go to the same web page without problem. I found the it was the DNS pre-fetching causing my error. I went into Options, then "Under the Hood" and unchecked "Use DNS pre-fetching to improve page load performance". Immediately my 400 error went away and hasn't been seen since.

I want to go to youtube but everytime I want to it says 400 bad request.

Sometimes when this happens its because of cookies that cause the 400 bad request.
Delete the cookies by going to tools on internet expoler (If its not a bar a the top just press alt) and go to delete browsing history and go to delete all the cookies and, delte them.

400 Bad request

hi,
If "your browser sent a request that this server could not understand"
and "size of request header field exceeds server limit", your request
is a bad or oversized cookie. (The same thing is true for "Error 400").

For some very strange reason, it seems 9 of
10 Bad Request messages implicate Firefox.

Simply delete your "Cookies" and everything
will be okay. Don't worry about erasing them;
nothing bad will happen. You won't lose your
internet browser's "Bookmarks" or "Favorites".
The worst thing that could happen is you will
be asked to retype your username/password
when you return to YouTube and some other
websites -- that's all.

As you're dumping your cookies, you should
also erase all your "Temporary Internet Files"
and "History". This will render your computer
totally "fresh" in YouTube's eyes. It would be
best if you shutdown / reboot after doing this:

Internet Explorer 6:
> Tools > Internet Options
> Delete Cookies > OK
> Delete Files > OK
> Clear History > Yes
> OK

Internet Explorer 7:
> Tools > Internet Options > Delete...
> Delete files > Yes
> Delete cookies > OK
> Delete history > OK
> Close (browsing history window)
> OK

Peace,
B

400 bad request

Hi,

What you can do is delete your cookies by going to Tools, and then clicking on Internet Options. It will take you to a separate screen, and one of the buttons says "Delete Cookies." Click on that, and it should work after that.

On firefox :-

Hi,

If we talk about 400 bad request error, read the meaning of the same :-

http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E400.html

There might be several reasons :-

1. There server is down at the time when you try to access youtube.
2. Your internet browser might be at fault.
3. Your internet connection might be at fault.
4. Miscellaneous etc.

Now, as you informed me that you are unable to view youtube. Is that always or sometimes?

If everytime, there is an issue from your end.

Why does my youtube keep saying Bad Request when I get on????????

Sounds like you've done one of three things. 1. You've got a bad cookie somewhere and should maybe consider deleting all your cookies. 2. You've changed your internet settings in internet explorer and changed something about the way they handle hyperlinks. 3. You have a virus, spybot or malware problem. I've never clicked on a hyperlink that it says "Bad Request". I doubt that it's option #1 so try opening internet explorer, go to Tools go to Internet Options and go to the Advanced tab. Tell it to Restore Advanced Settings and if that doesn't work, return to same place and click on the Reset option.

I cant go on to youtube it keeps saying 400 bad request

Go to Tools. Hit Options. Hit the Privacy button. Press "Show Cookies" in the middle of the page. Go all the way down to Youtube.com and double click on it. Click on the first one. It will tell you something in the space called "Content".in the description. On the server problem on You Tube, look at what is says. It will say stuff like :

EXAMPLE:
(First part)ViSITOR_INFO_1KittyKat (Second part)133bd4455...

you look at each cookie description content and find the 2 that match the first and second part of the error.
Delete those cookies. Refresh the page. IT will work find, AND WILL LET YOU LOG IN.

The reason behind the error:
This is something that happens when a user signs in and out of their youtube account constantly or sees many people's channels nonstop.
