SOURCE: kodak easyshare z1275 not working =(

PROBLEM - Camera will not turn on at all regardless of battery used. Happened after about 8 months of use. Kodak instructed me to send the camera in of warranty repair. MCU was replaced. The unfortunate thing is that I have the same problem again, 7 months later and I am guessing it is not a warranty repair this time.

If your Kodak is less than one year old, then it will be repaired for free, under Kodak warranty, see Kodak Professional: SUPPORT CENTER or contact the number listed on the owner manual.

SOURCE: My Kodak EASYSHARE M1063 camera won't turn on

Remove the memory card and the battery
Clean the metal contacts on the battery using a clean cloth

Pls test with an alt. batt.
If you do not have access to a dif. battery.
Pls. take the batt out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the batt. If not you will need to order a No power repair.

I took out the memory card in our z915 to put the card in a reader to transfer images onto a computer. When I tried to put the card back in, it won't catch and stay in the camera.

Here's a url so you can download a guide if you need one, just google i :-

It shows which way the card should go in, normally they push in then press again to catch.

I prefer to download to a PC using a USB cable, keeps my grubby little fingers of the card.

I can turn my camera on (Z915 digital) but it will not upload photos to my computer. I have the kodak share program and have never had trouble before. I downloaded photos just two days ago, now the...

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Won't turn on (with full batteries)

Bad battery, low battery, bad battery contact, or a short. The camera won't turn on if the battery can not sustain the camera for more than a few seconds to prevent corruption of the pictures stored in the internal and external memory.

Is it necessary to use Kodak AA alkaline batteries in the camera or will other AA alkalines work?

Hi,
Other battery will work in your camera as long as it is AA alkaline.
You can also use rechargeable battery with different brand.
