Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Tub seems to lean forward on my kenmore front load. Just changed the cupler. Water drains out of the back when filling. Don't know if it's the tub leaning or a leaking hose to the fill apparatus.

You got it all discombobulated when messing with the coupling. Re center the triangular shaped base plate.

How do I fix a washing machine that doesn't fill with water, but spins and drains? Water enters the detergent holder, but doesn't seem to make it to the tub. Draining can be heard as well, even though

Hum for one a front load H.E washer should not be having very much suds as u claim it had. Are u aware the front loads are made to use very little soap and if u use to much soap hence alot of suds, ur SUDS SENSOR will act up and can shut down any wash cycle. a trick is to run just water and some vinagar trough a couple loads if u can get to wash at all. Another issue u may have is a plugged line somewhere. or loose unconnected water hose line hence the water on the ground effect. u may want to check ur flow line from the entry into the tub where the water at the moment I cant recall the name of the gadget but it can get clogged or damaged and hinder the water from entering the tub

Why is there water in the tub when off for 2 or 3 days?

Either the tub has a slow leak in the faucet or water is backing up from the drain, you need a plumber to route out the drain pipe

When filling my Kenmore washer to begin a load of laundry the water enters the tub like it is going to wash but immediately drains onto the floor and the "water sensor" never tturns the water...

This either due to a detached "water sensor"/pressure switch hose or a broken drain/leaking drain pump. Disconnect power then remove the screws securing the console to the top of the machine. Pull the console forward then up and lay it back on the hinges. The screws are located at the rear of the console, front corners of the console, or at the front corners of the console under the end caps.

Whirlpool and Kenmore Top Loader Washing Machines Leaking From the Bottom

Water leaking out of bottom of washer

There are only a few issues that I usually see with kenmore direct drive washers pertaining to leaks. To check everything you can do it from the bottom. Pull the unit out and lean it back against the wall. Make sure that you have enough slack on fill hoses and drain hose. These are the list of things to check.
1) the pump mounted on the front of the motor. Check the backside and see if its worn through and it could also leak from the center where it goes on the motor shaft.
2) The hoses that connect to the pump.
3) There is a spring that hooks into the back of the tub which will sometimes rust out causing the tub to lean forward during fill and the water splashes off the backguard. (if the spring rusted out you can redrill a hold in the base of the washer and reconnect it)
4) The pressure switch fill tube got ripped out of place this is the clear tube located on the side of the tub. (this would be typical to see if when the washer is in spin and you open the lid it comes to a hard halt). In which case you can tip the machine back and carefully spray some wd40 or white lithium grease into the brake. (be careful not to get any on the clutch which is the silver disk on top of the motor).

Let me know if this helps.

I have a Kenmore N2. What would make my front load washer fill back up with some water after the drain and spin cycle is complete?? IF I let the washer go until it's done and go downstairs to take out,...

first, run a rinse, drain & spin cycle. after it finishes filling, shut the water supply (taps) off. If water enters the washer after the drain, it has to be sifoning back in from the DRAIN hose. Check to see if the drain hose is not going up above the washer more than a few inches

I have a Kenmore top loading washing machine model 92529110. My wife has been noticing that the tub leans toward the front causing the water to hit the back edge of the tub instead of running straight into...

The machine needs to be leveled. Unscrew the front legs until the machine is level. If there isn't enough screw, or if your floor is really uneven, put a board under the front legs. After you get the front level, lean the machine toward you, tilting it front, until the back feet are about 3 inches off the floor. Let the machine drop. This will set the back legs into position. They are self leveling.

Leaks water frim front of the machine

make sure the tub is pushed back , not leaning foward. this fills from back of tub possible splashing on and over the tub rim, anorhersource of leak could be from pump assy removing front cover and lookng at pump will tell (if its been leakin its quite obvious)

Kenmore 110-91564100 Top Load Washer Problem

Sounds like my 91 Geo Merto LOL! Anywho when it washes the pump spins one way and water is basically thrown back into the tub, then when on spin it spins in the opposite direction and if there is a hose leak past the pump or the pump itself leaks it will come out of the drain system. As for the thump, check under the unit for anything that shouldnt be under there getting caught up in the mechanics. Let us know :-)
