HI
go at the manufacture's website and download the Synaptics Touchpad Driver at
http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/
select your aspire model and select the driver your need which is the synaptics touchpad driver
Download it
Run it and reboot your laptop
this should work just fine
Good luck

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hi

Access the BIOS and look for USB settings and switch USB mouse on as some laptops do not allow both USB and touchpad to be active.

Mouse is stuck on my acer aspire 3690

Hi,

If you mean the touchpad doesn't work, press and hold the blue FN key and then press F7.

This will turn the touchpad back on ( if this is the problem).

Go to acer website and download that model manual, make sure you have ADOBE READER on this machine..If your pointer is not working then you need to download the touchpad driver or if you are using a mouse then it may be a bad one.

ACER ASPIRE 3690

That's happened to mine today, I had to lift the left plastic square and just tap the spare metal bit to select things, I think you can buy replacement parts, but a friend of mine thinks you have to buy the whole touchpad.

My Acer Aspire 3690-2519 mousepad and mouse pointer will not work.

Connect a USB mouse and then go into the device manager to check for issues such as a yellow triange or a red X next to the device name. You might need to reload the drivers and see if this takes care of the issue. Touchpads do lose their sensitivity and sense of touch after over extended use, so anything is possible.

Sounds like a driver issue. My touchpad goes crazy sometimes and I have to reboot, especially when it gets a little wet on the touchpad.
