Are you trying to change to alert tone? If so, open up your media center, goto "Music & Tones", "My Ringtones", then find the ring tone you want. Hit the top left button on the inside keyboard. Select "Alert Sound", then "TXT Message".

Setting a tone for text messages

This is easy. I don't mean to sound arrogant, sorry. follow these instructions: press the menu button/ go to/in settings/ the first tab is phone profiles/ press select/ options/ edit/ you will see three tabs at the top right of the screen, the phone with a speaker tab is highlighted/ go right one to the txt mssge icon, enter message alert type and choose the melody option, press o.k/ go down one section to the "message alert tone, press the options key/ change/ use my alert tone, this opens your files/ press right once to select memory card and choose the folder with the melody you want to use in it/ when you've highlighted the melody press options/ select. Next scroll down the page for the volume settings/ select whatever. You have now chose the melody for txt mssges. finally press options save. Job done. I know this is what you wanted. Good luck. Setting ringtones as you text message alert tones

You CAN set a song as your text alert tone. Here are the steps:
1- Go to: Settings> Profiles>
2- Select your options (e.g. normal, vibrate and ring, etc....)
3- select Options> Customize (2)>
4- Highlight "Message Sound" and select Options> Customize (2),
5- Then browse to the folder your song or sound is in (e.g. audio) and select the file you want to use and save it.

I noticed that the songs have to be under 30 seconds to use as any type of alert tone for calls or texts.

Hopefully this helps.

Message sent alert

Hi,
To remove the sent message alert you have to change your keypad tones to mute. Go to the volume in the keypad tones in the phone profile and change it to mute. Only problem is you can't have keypad tones but they get on my nerves anyway! To stop the tone when you finish a call, go to call settings, all calls, call status tones and take off call end tone.
