SOURCE: can't get the handle of a mastercraft compound mitre saw to open
Hi,
If you look on the left side of the saw near where you see that it pivots to go up and down. You will see some type of knob that you can pull out...you will need to push down on the saw handle to allow this to happen.

Mastercraft's help line is 1-800-689-9928. However this saw is no longer in production and parts are available only until stock is depleted. It was supplied by an european company called WMH Tool Group that apparently doesn't supply CTC any longer.
