Why do my motorola oasis pair and connect but thats it?

The HX550 does not have language settings you can only turn on/off the Voice Prompts, you can also check for the Voice prompts option by doing the steps below..Press and hold the Call button while turning on the
headset to turn these features on/off:

• Reset to factory default
Caution: This action erases all pairing information
stored in your headset.
• Caller ID
• Voice prompts
• Multipoint (two phone) connections
• WBS (Wide-band Audio) on/off

Follow the voice prompts to make changes to these
settings.

pair using the wired headset first and that will sort

The TM506 (also known as Bella) must support the Bluetooth Handsfree 0.96 profiling.

The HF850 supports Bluetooth Headshet v1.1, v1.2 and Handsfree 0.96 protocol.

Unless you can find otherwise, the TM506 doesn't support Bluetooth 0.96 Profiles. It is my understanding that on the TM506 you must program your voice commands and I understand that to be different.

Nonetheless, the TM506 works very well and seamlessly (other than voice dialing) with the HF850.

try re - pairing the headset with your phone. Delete the older paired profile from your phone before re pairing.

After pairing goto optins and connect with the BTHEADset.

1a] press and hold down STOP/set button and wait for promps.....
ie. press NEXT to change Day stamp and then SET to pick.
ie. press NEXT to change Hour and SET to pick.
ie. press NEXT to change Minute and SET to pick.
1b] press NEXT to pick 1minute allowance recording for recieving messages coming in, or 2 minutes or 3 minutes or 4 minutes. This machine only has 1/2 hour of recording time, so maybe you can 'tell' -record- that and let incoming callers know they have only minutes and machine will automatically shut off and cut them off [hang-up] on them.
2] press and hold down Greeting button and follow promps to change the answering machine voice promps to your own voice. Machine will automatically PLAY BACK your voice, if you don't like what you hear, press and hold down Greeting button again and try again.

Did you check that you didn't activate mute?
If it is on mute. Press both volume buttons at the same time you will hear two descending audio tones.

I have a similar problem with my blackberry curve, it connects but when I hit the key on earpiece for voice dial, the blackberry says setting up, or something like that, and it never connects all the way, just keeps trying, i can dial a call through my phone and then i do hear and can be heard with earpiece, just no voice dialing options??
