The glass on the flatbed scanner, Dexxa brand, but Artec AS6E product, dropss down, and I am unable to detect anyway in which to access the 'inside' of the scanner, so I can repair or replace whatever is necessary to restore the glass so it does not drop down anymore.
The user manual provides no relief, and I can not find any way of accessing that area, ie. separate the top from the bottom, etc.
If anybody knows how to access the inside of the scanner 'box' so I can clean the bottom of the glass, and apply double-sided fibreglass tape or ??? to re-secure the glass, please advise. Thank you! Arjay
The glass in our ten year old scanner also came loose. There are two phillips head screws on the top. If you unscrew them the case comes apart. Look for screws. I'm trying to clean the adhesive off the glass and the plastic, and a suitable replacement double-sided tape.
