Try to install the latest version of Printer software[4.2] from www.kodak.com/go/downloads on your computer. then open the kodak home center software and click on scan pictures. Adjust the settings and you are ready to go. download the user manual from www.kodak.com/go/manuals.

It could be coz of the multiple printer icon in the control panel so try these steps:
Windows Vista:

  1. Select Start>Control Panel.
  2. Select Printers.
  3. Double-click one of the all-in-one printer icons.
  4. Select Printer>Cancel all Documents.
  5. Close the printer window.
  6. Right-click the same all in one printer icon and select Delete.
  7. Repeat Steps 1 to 6 for all of the all in one printer icons.

Windows XP:
  1. Select Start>Setting>Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Printers and Faxes.
  3. Double-click one of the all in one printer icons.
  4. Select Printer>Cancel all Documents.
  5. Close the printer window.
  6. Right-click the same all in one printer icon and select Delete.
  7. Repeat Steps 1 to 6 for all of the all in one printer icons.
let me know if it worked or not.......

Please don't use aftermarket ink in your printer as it is not recommended for optimal performance.

Kodak ESP7 - Stops printing after first request.

Go on kodak web site and down load updated drivers for this thing.  Close non-essential running applications in the background if you got an old slow processor chip in your computer.

I have kodak esp7 all in one printer. deaspite changing the black ink cartrage the black ink will not print and a times neither will color be always the black this printer is only 6 months had to take back...

It may not be the printer. The printhead could be causing the issue as well...

Have you seen:
http://www.kodak.com/go/itg

Answer a few questions about your print quality issue and Kodak will send you a brand new printhead to fix your problem. If it DOESN'T fix the problem, give Kodak a call and they can replace the printer since it is under warranty.

Kodak had a batch of bad cartridges, I got 3 of them. All come from China. I used the online chat to describe the problem. They promised to send me new cartridges.
