What should we do when control lock light is on and washer will not run

LID LOCK FAULT
Fault is displayed if Lid Lock has not moved into locked position or motor cannot be powered.
Lid is not closed completely due to interference.
Check for lock interference with lock striker.
Wash media buildup (detergent, lint, etc.) is preventing the lock mechanism from sliding.
Main control detects open lid switch when attempting to lock.
Main control cannot determine if lid lock is in a locked state.

1. Perform the Lid Lock test under Manual Test Mode on page 9. The following steps assume that this step was unsuccessful.
2. Check lid lock mechanism for obstruction or binding. Repair as necessary.

Possible that the switch is defective, there is fault in the line to the control unit from the switch of the control unit is faulty.
check these one by one.

1) test the power cord for open 2) test the outlet box, see for blown fuse or c.breaker put some desk lamp and see if work 3) test inside of the control board if there fuse blown or c.breaker tripped 4( test the lid switch is closed, can be faulty or open replace 5) test the input voltage 115 if there are the control board faulty.

What is your model type a FAV6800A or FAV9800A?

Are you up to troubleshooting the issue? We would need to see if the Left or Right hand lid lock is signaling the Control Board incorrectly. This could involve using a DVM to measure +12 VDC signaling from the Lid Locks to the Control Board.

To unlock the controls Select and hold END OF CYCLE SIGNAL for 3 seconds until the CONTROL LOCKED Status light turns off.
