Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Whenever I try to print, h-p deskjet 460 pulls paper down about 1 inch, then stops and paper-jam code lights light up (blinking amber and blinking green). No sign of anything that would jam printer. Should I open case? Any tricks to that?

- try to disconnect usb cable and if its stop lighting reinstall the driver

Printer will not print in black was the first problem and now after less than a minute after turning on it has the light for 'on' flashing green and amber constantly

Try this:
1- Pull the cartridges out, restart printer then reinstall the cartridges again
2- The blinking can mean any of these: paper out, paper jam, cover open, printing error. Please check that there is enough paper, no paper jam (sometimes even the smallest piece of paper will cause that error, then restart both (the printer and the computer)
Best of luck

Light blinking

Sounds like you have a paper jam somewhere. Open up the printer and look for some paper. If the page is still in the machine, sometimes you can gently pull ever so slowly and finish getting the paper out of the machine. Power cycle the machine and if it was a jam, you should be fine.
