Yes it is, plug your camcorder USB cable to the computer and go to MY COMPUTER, Click on your camcorder to access your files. OR remove the Memory Card from the camcorder and Insert into the computer card slot ( if your System has one).
Hope this will help you out.

Panasonic SDR-H18 Camcorder - I would like to transfer the video from harddrive to the sd card

Did you ever figure out how to do this? I have misplaced the cord to transfer files from the HD to the computer, and I would like to not have to purchase one through Panasonic (Best Buy didn't have one). I just want to transfer the files from the HD to the SD card while in the camera, and then take the card out and put it in the Mac. Any luck?

I cant figure out how to delete the videos off my camcorder now that I have downloaded them to my computer. I have some on the hard drive and some on the sd card.

Please make sure all video files have been transferred in computer then use Format option to delete all movie files in hard drive of camcorder, apply same procedure to sd card in camcorder.
Format option would be available in settings/ set up menu of camcorder.
Thanks.

How to transfer PV-L780D panasonic camcorder video to PC.

For your SD card, you have to use the USB port to mini-USB port cable that came with the camera, or a card reader. Connect it to the computer, and turn the camera on. Windows XP and Windows 7 will detect it as a hard drive, and give you the options for transferring the pictures to your pc. You also have a firewall cable that you can use with the software that came with the camera. In case you need more information, you can download the manual that will tell you how here:

Plug in to the computer...

It sounds like you're plugging the camcorder in  via USB. Your PC is looking for a flash memory card (SD card on the GS300), which is used on that camcoder for still photos only.

If you want to transfer video from the camcorder, you need to use the Firewire port. DV camcorders do not transferr video via USB (some of the "computer" style camcorders, including most flash, DVD and HDD camcorders, can use USB for file transfers).
