Question about Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
My Dyson vacuum works fine for cleaning the rug but the hose doesnt get any suction at all. I removed the hose and all the parts around it that I could and dont see any clogs or broken pieces. I lost my manual so I dont know if this is addressed, or if there is a switch Im not flipping. Gave it a thorough look but found nothing.
Just resolved the same problem...couldn't find a blockage anywhere, but pulled handle out of hose and extended hose as far as possible upward. Aha! There was blockage in the hose at the very bottom where the flexible hose meets the rigid part.. There is a lever which releases the entry to the bottom of the hose. A pencil, lots of coins, a crumpled receipt and general dirt were stuck. Easy to clean and now it works like new again.

Hi, it's Jim from Crucial Vacuum.
Hoses can be easily blocked depending on the type of debris your vacuum is picking up. Be sure to fully extend the hose to see if any object may be stuck towards the bottom, perhaps a coin, marble or even a rock. Another thing to look for is along the hose make sure there aren't any rips or splits. All of these factors could interfere with the hoses suction.

My vacuum seems to have two motors... once for the beater and one for suction. The one for suction is doing absolutely nothing. When I turn off the beater motor or stand the vacuum upright, the machine is completely off. HELP!
