My citizen tv is locked and i dont have the remote to unlock it is there a way to do it manually

Yes , it will work but make sure you get a remote with the capability to control a Citizen TV.

The codes are different for each universal remote for example:

TV Citizen 0060, 0039, 0280, 0030, 0056, 0046, 0092, 0186 may work for one brand of remote but not all. check online for a specific brand, see if it controls a citizen tv, then program in the codes as per the owner's manual and it should work.

You can try turning it on and pressing all the buttons down at the same time, that sometimes will reset tv's to factory.

Try unplugging your TV from the wall socket and plugging it back in to reset the lock setting

The TV has been 'Locked'. To unlock it press the DISP button for 4 seconds. Since you have a universal remote and there is no way to determine which button is the DISP button try holding each button on the universal remote for 4 seconds until, hopefully, you find the correct one.

Same happened to me, found a manual online and in one of the sections it talks about a child lock.

You have to hold the 'F' key and then press mute and voila!
