I have this computer. Make sure that all the fans are working and you have good air flow under computer. Video card overheats very easy. New screen to take care of the lines.... well 100.00 is what you'll spend.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Pavilion dv4 display horizontal flashing lines across the lower screen in taskbar area

I'm Sorry to say but it could be that you need a new screen (easy repair around $195) unless you go to HP
Or it could be the built in video card (much harder to repair)
Do the lines appear from start up or slowly get worse as the comp gets hotter, if this is the case it is more likely the video card then I would contact HP to get a quote, But first,
Try plugging your laptop into an external monitor & see if the lines show up then

How do I open up my HP Pavillion zd800 case. I want to clean out the dust.

You don't need to open it up!

Turn the computer off.
Remove the battery.
Buy a can of compressed air, and give your computer a "blow-job" through every vent that you can find.

Follow the instructions on the can -- keep the can "vertical" while using it.

I bought a new hp dv2000 laptop 2 yrs back. till date it was working very fine sudenly yesterday morning when i powered on the laptop thin lines appearing on the screen display... i tried to on the system...

honestly the problem is in your lcd display. it is already defective lcd. replacement of lcd is much expensive. it would be better to buy a new unit rather than replacing the lcd.

HP Pavilion zd800, recharing problem

If you have a multimeter you can test the voltage coming out the end of the AC adapter to make sure your charger is functioning properly. Otherwise as is very common with laptops your DC jack is probably "loose". Meaning the internal part on the laptop side has contacts that usually succumb to general wear and tear and have to be repaired. If you have a laptop repair facility in your area that does laptop repair you'll probably want to take it to them. Or possibly contact HP at 1-800-HP-INVENT to find out the closest repair facility for you.
