This is usually the print heads are not working correctly.
Either purge forever and the problem might go away, or call in Xerox.
Good Luck.

SOURCE: faded stripe down the printed page

I found a solution that worked to eliminate the faded black stripe down the page thanks to a post by slamfix in another forum. The problem is related to ink build up on the blade edge of the black developer assembly in the imaging unit (the imaging unit contains 4 separate developers - yellow, blue, magenta, and black). The solution involves taking out the imaging unit, removing and cleaning the blade edge of the black ink developer until smooth. It took me about 15 minutes to complete and was fairly straightforward.

My question about xerox 5855

It sounds like your Xerox 5855 printer is experiencing a technical issue that is causing black stripes to appear on the printed pages and an error message to be displayed. There are a few things you can try to fix the problem:
  1. Check to make sure that the printer is properly connected to the computer and that all cables are securely in place.
  2. Check to make sure that the printer is fully operational and that all the necessary components, such as toner and ink, are installed and functioning properly.
  3. Check to make sure that the printer driver and software are up to date. You may need to download and install the latest version of the driver and software from the Xerox website.
  4. Clean the printer's printhead and roller. This can help to remove any dirt or debris that may be causing the black stripes to appear on the printed pages.
  5. Check the printer settings to make sure that the correct paper size and type are selected.
  6. If the issue persists, you may want to try resetting the printer to its factory settings. To do this, consult the printer's manual or contact Xerox customer support for further assistance.
If you have tried all of these steps and are still having issues with your Xerox 5855 printer showing black stripes on the printed pages and displaying an error message, you may need to have the printer serviced by a professional. You can contact Xerox customer support for further assistance and to find a service center near you.

Fix a xerox 6350DT

If you have a white stripe in only one color, then you might have a bad developer. Each color has its own developer
116-2008-00 Yellow
116-2009-00 Magenta
116-2010-00 Cyan
116-2011-00 Black

Changing the developer is not super easy. You'd have to remove the left cover, HV Power Supply board, then remove Image Unit and the Developer Frame, where all the Developers are mounted. Detach the feed hose for the Developer you want to change and release the Developer's 2 spring clips.

The attached photo shows old developers which have dead spots that would cause the missing stripes on prints.

Xerox 8500 phaser prints brown tint

Most likely the cyan ink is burnt. If the ink sticks are left unused (printing more black than color, this will happen.

Print the test pages for PQ troubleshooting from the control panel and examine each print. Cyan will probably have very dark streaks down the page, magenta should look normal, and yellow also will have dark stripes. You need to replace this burnt ink, and the only way is to print. From within paint (or similar accessory in other OS) Create a full page of cyan, and print about 100 - 200 pages, or until the cyan starts to clear up. Yes it is a waste, but much cheaper than a print head, Do this for yellow as well.

My Xerox Phaser 8560 is not printing the red properly. It comes out more llike a brown. The light blue comes as a teal and bubble gum pink comes out like a light pale plum. Peach comes out as beige. Is...

Solution : Print the Troubleshooting Print Quality Pages and Make Sure the Colors Are Accurate CAUTION: Use of inks other than Genuine Xerox Solid Ink may affect print quality and printer reliability. It is the only ink designed and manufactured under strict quality controls by Xerox for specific use with this printer. The Xerox Warranty, Service Agreements, and Total Satisfaction Guarantee do not cover damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance caused by use of non-Xerox supplies, or the use of Xerox supplies not specified for this printer.
To print the Troubleshooting Print Quality pages:
  1. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel to select [Troubleshooting] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Troubleshooting Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button to print the test pages.
  4. Go through the pages and find the Light Stripes Test page.

For each color, remove an unused solid ink stick from the printer, and then use the ink stick to make a mark of color next to the corresponding color on the printed page. If the colors do not closely match, that color will need to be purged from the print head. Continue with step 6 if the colors do not closely match.
  5. NOTE: If the colors do closely match, the problem is not related to the printer's hardware. There is no hardware adjustment available on the Control Panel for calibrating individual colors.

  6. Create a document consisting of a full page (100% fill) of the color not printing correctly, or download and use one of the resource files provided in the table below. For example, if cyan ink is actually printing black, create a document that is a solid fill of cyan, or download and open the Cyan fill page provided in the table below.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to set the Print Quality mode in the print driver to "Standard" and the TekColor Correction to "None" before performing the next step. This will allow the job to purge only the problem color. Other settings may cause the printer to use a percentage of the other ink sticks.

  7. Print approximately 50 - 100 pages of the document, as necessary, until the printed color returns to normal.
IF THAT DOESN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM TRY THIS: http://www.support.xerox.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?St=156,E=0000000002703198886,K=8233,Sxi=10,Solution=obj(964)

Lines on print. There's are three lines on picture print only. Can't see the line on document. It's about 1/4 inch wide and going throught top to bottom.

Have ou gone into your menus. Into troubleshooting, then image quality.
You will want to run both the eliminate light stripes and eliminate smears procedures. that will purge the print head, blow air through the jets and hopefully resolve the problem. I do believe the 8550 has a Jet Substitutin procedure where you can do a workaround and make other jets make up for the light areas.
here are some directions, Will forward more

  1. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel to select [Troubleshooting] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Troubleshooting Print Quality Page], and then press the [OK] button.
  4. Evaluate the 'Light Stripes Test' page for missing printhead jets, such as missing Cyan, Magenta, Yellow or Black color bars. The 'Light Stripes Test' page is the last page of the Troubleshooting Print Quality Page that printed.

WARNING: To avoid injury, do not touch the sharp metal strip attached to the clear rubber wiper blade in the Maintenance Kit.

  5. Use a clean lint-free cloth or a new paper coffee filter to gently clean the maintenance unit's clear rubber wiper blade, use only a wiping motion across the entire length of the wiper blade, and then empty the waste tray. A dirty maintenance kit wiper blade can cause white lines and weak or missing printhead jets.

  6. 8500-wiper-blade-clean.jpg

  7. Repeat step 3 to reprint the Troubleshooting Print Quality Pages. If there are no missing or partially missing color bars then the print quality problem has been resolved. If there are missing or partially missing color bars then the printhead cleaning procedure will need to be performed. Continue with the next section.
To clean the printhead using the basic eliminate light stripes procedure:
  1. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel to select [Troubleshooting] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Eliminate Light Stripes], and then press the [OK] button.
  4. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Basic], and then press the [OK] button. The printer will perform a head cleaning, which will take about five minutes. The printer will then print a cleaning page and a light stripes test page.
  5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 one more time. If there are no weak or missing jets then the print quality problem has been resolved. If there are still weak or missing jets after two basic light stripe cleanings, continue with step 6.

NOTE: Do not try the Advanced Eliminate Light Stripes Cleaning mode without performing two basic cleanings first.

To clean the printhead using the advanced eliminate light stripes procedure:

  6. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Advanced], and then press the [OK] button.
  7. Select the missing jet color and number. If necessary, check the light stripes test page to determine the color and jet number of the missing jet.

NOTE: Only perform the advanced light stripe cleaning once. If weak or missing jets still persist, continue with step 8.

  8. Print the Troubleshooting Print Quality Page. Evaluate the Light Stripes Test page for missing printhead jets, such as missing Cyan, Magenta, Yellow or Black color bars. If necessary, perform the basic eliminate light stripes procedure one more time. If the Advanced Eliminate Light Stripes procedure does not resolve the weak or missing jets, perform the Enable Jet Substitution Mode. See the Related Items below.

My xerox Phaser 8560 is printing green? It was working fine but now All my pictures have a green hue. Why

I need to know something first. If you print a test page, an internal page, a confirmation page, menu page, etc, does the machine give you a green hue ?
Have you tried to shut the printer down and allow it to reboot? There is tec color correction on your print driver properties. You can try adjustments with that.
But first let me know if the internal prints are ok , then lets go from there.

Blue color appears pinkinsh/now stripes and smudging

Are you using third party ink? make sure your ink is xerox OEM. This will clogg up the inkjets and ruin the print head for ever, If you have always used the third party ink then you might want to get a new print head. . If you have used xerox ink then It sounds like the magenta reservoir has spilled over the cyan. This is caused by moving the printer and not waiting for the cool down procedure. Also you might want to change the print head wiper. If the print head wiper is over used it won't clean the print head properly and what that causes is for ink to build up and causes smudge. also make sure the drum maintance kit is still in good shape. (its the yellow roller on the right side of the printer. Well hopefully this helps .

Pages printing blank

Resolving white, light lines or streaks (eliminate light stripes)

From the printer, print the Troubleshooting Print Quality Pages.
With Troubleshooting highlighted, press the OK button.
Scroll to Print Quality Problems by pressing the Up or Down Arrow button. Press OK.

Scroll to Troubleshooting Print Quality Page. Press OK.
Evaluate the Light Stripes Test page for missing printhead jets (missing cyan, magenta, yellow or black color bars).

Clean the maintenance unit's wiper blade and empty the waste tray. A dirty maintenance drawer wiper blade can cause white lines and weak or missing printhead jets. Using a clean lint-free cloth or a paper coffee filter, gently clean the blade with a wiping motion across the entire length of the wiper blade.
