That switch won't be open or a problem

Need to be in an accident to jar it

Check around the side kick panels where your
feet would be

Google the location

Easier to find the pump relay & test the entire circuit
at one location-- IF-- you had a wiring diagram

fuel pressure regulator could hav failed-located by engine or the ignition module may not be workin-by dist area try not to be a parts replacer-buy a repair book

The fuel shut off is a switch - inertia fuel cut off switch , it cut's electric power to the fuel pump . If it was tripped just push the button ! Located behind- driver side kick panel !

How do you turn the fuel pump shut off button back on a 99 Ford windstar
  • The inertia fuel shutoff switch is located behind the driver side scuff panel. An access hole is in the scuff panel to access and reset the fuel shutoff switch.
NOTE: In the reset position, the button can be pressed an additional 1.59 mm (0.0625 inch) against a spring. This is a normal condition.
To reset the inertia fuel shutoff switch , press button on top of inertia fuel shutoff switch .

Reset the inertial switch (collision safety switch), located inside a compartment accessible from the inside of the vehicle, near the driver side rear lights. There should be an extruded red button which you press in to reset.

I cant find the fuel reset button in the back right side of my 1999 ford windstar to see if it needs reset. IF I do find it what fuse can i check if its not the problem?
Fuel shut off switch is located in the back of the vehicle on right side where your jack is stored. You have to remove jack and pull out some plastic covers to expose fuel shut off switch.
First Check your fuel pressure on the fuel rail in the engine compartment. Could be your fuel pump malfunctioning.

It sounds like a fuel pump or ignition module. Possibly may have tripped the inertia switch. Look on the passenger side kick panel at your feet.There is a switch there with a red button.Make sure it is pushed down.If not,push it down to reset it.
