open rear cover and check the fuser to see if there is wear on the heat roller, if there is a line worn in the roller and it makes a grinding noise,
it will need the fuser replaced, also it may need a firmware update.
take the toner unit out check toner recovery bottle on the front of toner unit, empty or vacum it out dale, if not that could be gears on the machine drive, or fuser, or down in the by-pass dale
