Where is the heating element in dryer

Depends on the brand of dryer. GE dryers are usually directly behind the drum assembly which requires removing the drum to replace. Whirlpool dryers have the heater in a duct work running up the back of the dryer. Some other brands have the heater in a round pipe similar to the vent pipe in the bottom of the dryer. Would need dryer model to tell you exactly.

THE DRYER MAKES A LOT OF NOISE AS IT TURNS

If yourdyer is making noise as it runs, then it is your drum bearing. It is located back behind the drum.

If you needto find parts or manuals for the dryer, go to Google website and type in youmodel number and then type in what you need manuals or parts.

New dryer looks like never been used (got in purchase of home), pulled lint trap to see for lint (clean) flashed light inside trap (clean), drum turns when on and clothes become warm/hot but not...

it is either the coil is going bad or the thermo safety is bad, there should be a wiring diagram(usually located in the back of the dryer behind the knobs, just unscrew the back plate) and you will see the safety limit. You can bypass and see if that is the problem, if it is make sure to get a new one as if you leave it bypassed and use it down the road it may cause a fire. Hope this helps tim

The dryer ir running but no heat

Initially sounds like the heating element(s) are burnt out. Probably needs replacing. The top should be removed and the drum removed, be sure to note the routing of the belt around the drum and pulley on the bottom. Once the drum is out, you can see the heating elements, but look behind the drum once the top has been flipped back, it may be accessable without removing the drum.

I need to replace the belt in my GLER341AS2 model Frigidaire dryer. How do i open up the dryer to do so?

Unplug the dryer and using a 1/2 inch pait scraper locate the spring loded clips holding the top down to the front of the cabnet. They are located about one to two inches from the front corners of the dryer.
Lift the top and rest it on the wall behind the dryer.
Looking inside the dryer locate the screws holding the front panel to the cabnet and remove the screws.
Mark the wires to the door switch and remove.
Remove the front panel.
Go behind the dryer and remove the small rear panel near the bottom of the dryer.Observe how the belt is attached to the pulleys.Release the tention on the belt by moving the belt tentioner and sliding the belt off the motor pulley.
Go to the front of the dryer and grab the belt on the top of the dryer drum. Holding the belt lift the drum straight out holding the drum with the belt.
Check to see if all the rollers are in good shape and rotate freeley. Oil if needed.
Check to see if the teflon gliders located on the front panel that hold the drum are in good shape. Replace if needed.
Vaccum the inside of the dryer.
Put the new belt over the drum and line the drum up and install back into the dryer.
Put the front panel back on and reinstall the two screws.
Replace the door switch wires.
Make sure the grooves on the belt are flat to the dryer drum
Put the top down and go behind the dryer'
Locate the belt.
Pinch the belt and insert it under the tention pulley and slide it over the motor pulley. Make sure the belt is positioned straight and located where the old belt was positioned on the drum.

Loud noise from dryer

Good Afternoon,
If a toothbrush went into the dryer it would have to remain in the drum. There are no outlets large enough for a toothbrush to fit through. Can you tell where the noise is coming from? Also, check the drum good, the toothbrush could be hiding behind one of the ears in the drum and you probably can't see it. Try running your hand behind the ears inside the drum, it just might be there! I hope this will help you and thank you for using FixYa!

remove the front panel(s) and the top panel. the belt will go around the drum to a drive wheel at the bottom. the belt turns the drum. You will have to route the belt around the drum and go either in front of or behind the drum to get the belt installed correctly.
