How can I hook up an auxiliary wire to play my IPhone on the JVC KD-AR5000

After looking up your unit's info, I found that the aux input is on the rear of the unit. Pull the unit from the dash, being careful not to disconnect any wires (sometimes the antenna adapter wire is too short and must be disconnected to work behind the unit. Just don't forget to reconnect it before putting the unit back in place). Plug one end of a 3.5mm aux cable into the aux input on the rear of the unit and feed the other end thru the hole where the unit sits in the dash and out the side of the center of the dash to either the driver or passenger footwell. Replace the head unit and GENTLY pull the rest of the slack out of the aux cable but not so hard that you disconnect it from the head unit. You can tuck any excess aux cable up under the side of the console where the plastic meets the carpet, & if you wanted to get really fancy, you could drill a slot in the storage area of the console big enough to fit the cable, but small enough so the end doesn't fall through so you could plug your phone in and hide it all in the console out of sight. Then just switch the source on the unit to aux and enjoy!

I wanna know if my headunit has subwoofer controls

yes it should if it has individual outputs strictly for subs. If it does then, you should go into your front to read fade setting, and it should be included in that area of adjustments

Headunit power problems

Hello dobbyville11,
It might be a few things but here is what i would check 1st, pull out the head unit make sure all the wires are pushed in all the way. The second thing i would suggest is checking the connection to the battery and ensure that the ternimals are clean and a good connection is available.
If there is something else it might be that you hold down a button while it starts, I know of some headunits that need this.
Please post what you do and how you did it. I look forward to your post.

You pulled a headunit out off the garbage, and complain that it doesn't work? smart man.

JVC is a quality brand, stemed from HMV. I would not use any other brand for audio playback after using experiencing JVC gear.
