Question about AudioSource EQ-200 Home Equalizer
WHEN EQUALIZER IS ON,LOW GRADE BUZZING/HISSING HEARDTHROUGH SPEAKERS.WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS?THANKS TC
Have you isolated the problem to the equalizer only? By that, I mean remove it from the signal chain and bypass it completely. That's the first thing.Does the system make noise without it in? If dead quiet when removed then you go to step two.
If the noise returns when the EQ is reconnected, you should eliminate crappy or broken cables, connectors etc. Replace with a known good working set. Still there? Buzzing infers either a ground issue or some kind of power supply problem, only if the previous stuff is eliminated. Do this first, then ask again.
