Question about IBM ThinkPad T40 2373 Notebook
Battery light stays lit after shut down and eventually discharges the battery
The battery light on a notebook only uses .07 volts to light up and very minnium current.Your battery light isnt discharging your battery.Something called internal resistance is what is discharging your battery. If you are gonna park your notebook for a while and not use it. Take the battery out of the notebook. You will experence less battery drain . But a battery that is getting old may have drain even when not installed in the notebook.Try running the battery compleatly out of juce then charge it 24 hours then do this several times in some battery types this will help them hold a charge better. I hope I have been some help I own Kips Computer Service in Hattiesburg,MS. My e mail is firstname.lastname@example.org feel free to e mail
