Question about Dell Inspiron 8600 Notebook
If you have alot of usb ports that are loose then unsoldering and resoldering all those usb ports can take as much time as replacing the motherboard plus you'll know for sure with a new motherboard that the ports will work.
Sometimes unsoldering old usb ports and putting on new ones doesnt work cause loose usb ports can short out the motherboard.

Even taking a laptop apart (to board level) is tough, but you need to order the USB socket on ebay and solder the new one in carefully. Are you a qualified miniature soldering expert?
