REED VALVE STUCK. DOSEN'T OPEN TO RELEASE COMPRESSION. TAKE OUT PLUG - SPRAY A LOT OF CARB CLEANER IN PLUG HOLE, LET SIT FOR 5 MINUTES. PULL TO CLEAN OUT CYLINDER A FEW TIMES. THEN TAKE A LITTLE OF GAS MIXTURE USED IN SAW AND DO THE SAME THING. REPLACE PLUG AND TRY IT. IF THE SAME THING IT WILL HAVE TO BE TAKEN APART TO FIX.

Some saws have a decompression button to make it easier to pull over.

The pull cord is to hard to pull, cant pull it to start,,what would cauae it to be hard to pull

Couple of things, the cord could be bunched where it won't pull, the other is there are spring loaded teeth that have to engage and those could be messed up, you'll have to take off the cover of the pull cord and see

My Homelight 26b MightyLite leaf blower is so hard to pull start I have to put my foot on it to steady it. I pulled the spark plug and now it pulls so easily I can pull the start just holding the uni

Joe,

Compression is what makes it hard to pull start.
It should be like that.
Try holding the Draw/Pull Cord tight to your stomach and push the Blower away from you.
Kind of like throwing the blower down & away, but holding on to it.
That might be easier than pulling the cord and will save your arm.
Good luck !

U tube chainsaw pull cord wont pull start

Some saws with autotmatic oiling will leak bar oil into the cylinder and cause this. Pull out the spark plug and hold the saw so the oil runs out of the spark plug hole. Pull the starter cord till no more oil sprays out of the hole.Clean the oil off the plug and start your saw. It will smoke more than normal till the extra oil is burned out.

When pulling cord to start it pulls hard take plug off its easy can't get it to start

Sounds like it seized or is starting to. I would put a little two stroke oil in the cylinder about 20cc maybe a little bite more 50cc if it is really hard to pull.... Leave The plug out and pull on it about 30 seconds hopefully when the plug is back in it will run... goodluck. If its really tight needs to be rebuilt....

Cleaned spark plug on husqvarna 55 hard to pull cord wants to snap back help?

Most saws have a compression release valve which you press for that reason. It is located on the cylinder at the back of the saw. I don't know if the 55 has one , but it should.

I have a wild thing. the rope pull starter is very hard to pull. when i take the spark plug out it is easy to pull. the saw was not used for about 4 years until yesterday. it ran for about 45 minutes fine....

one piston ring has expanded now having no or a very fine gap increasing the compression ratio causing this to happen. When the spark plug is removed it is very easy to pull on the cord in any means. A inspection is due of this engine or a new chain saw is needed
