Question about Computers & Internet
22 inch LCD monitor SP2107W bought at Staples. Removed screws but can't separate outside to see inside. Work on and with mac computers and know how to fix just about any problem with them. Warranty ran out and as with many others money is tight. I'm hoping there is just a loose connection somewhere. Sure hope someone can help.
Thank you for your time.
LCD moniotrs usually have a latchs around the sides of the case. Use a small flat blade screwdrivers and start at the corner. Insert the blade a little bit between the two halves of the case and pry a little bit. The latches can be realeased when you apply a little preasure to the screwdriver. You should find about 3-4 latches per side. Once you get the first one or two released the others will be easier to open. I have some repair guides on my web site at:
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm These might help you opening your case. You may also want to look at them and see if you have any bad capacitors that are causeing the issues you are having.
I hope this helps, If so please rate my solution.
