SURT OLD SERIES
THERE IS NO SUCH manual sold or free at APC.com look see?
there is one but only to APC service centers.
the only leaked manual I see is here.
APC sells no spare parts inside it, but batteries or outside cable.
best is buy a 2nd used for spare parts. <<< bingo, works./
For starters, have you tried APC website? Plenty of manuals there man. Check it: http://www.apc.com/search-apc/ww/en/relevance/10_1/Product%20Information;;7B0CB5EA-CEC6-4E31-B9A6-51E4DCFADB54/all?search_text=APC%201400%20pro.%20Smart%20Rack%20mount%20120%20v.%202000%2F3000%20MR%20U3&search_type=new&filters=
APC / Schneider has kept been pretty difficult to repair from online instructions... especially their bigger UPS units. They offer a course you can pay for... and you can always look for a job with them. Aside from that though... there isn't much floating around.
Good Luck!

Good Day! Try changing the battery. please visit apc's service center for battery replacement. it will only take 3-5 working days. once done, your ups will be as good as new.
Contact APC.com Here is the page for your model , it looks like it qualifies for the tradeups program. Or you can purchase a battery for it and fix it yourself. http://www.apc.com/tools/upgrade_selector/index.cfm
Contact APC Customer Service. They will help you resolve this. If unit is still under warranty they will replace it. There is nothing you can do to repair anything yourself. Sorry ... try calling 1-800-555-2725800-555-2725 for support from APC
