Question about Canon NP 6050 Copier
Basically where do you start when taking the old one out? And what do you watch out for? I can buy a new drum myself for $230 and the tech will charge me around $500. Naturally, I'd like to do this myself since we own the copier.
1- open front door
2-on the right side put lever down ( disengages developer to drum)
3- swing toner holder ( dispenser ) to the right
4- bring green lever down ( has two belts )
5-unscrew the gray screw and pull out the unit ( this is the drum UNIT)
6- replace and do all the steps backwards EXECPT
7- put a pencil or paper in a slot on the right to cheat the contact and turn on the machine
8-on the left side under the counter there is a small hole insert a paper clip to engage service mode
9-there are two numbers on the new drum.
10- go to primary and set the drum primary then go to the next number and insert that.
11- go to apvc and select that
it should rotate and stop ttake out cheater and make a copy
