I have an Initial DTV-172 television. I am trying to use it as an external monitor for my Dell Latitude D620 laptop PC using Windows XP. The screen resolution is wrong. It only lets me choose between a screen resolution of 800X600 and 1024X768, while the screen ratio is 16:9 and HD. I'm not sure exactly what the resolution should be, but 1024X768 does show an image on the screen, just stretched out (which I don't like.) Thanks. -Eric

Anyhow, the confusing thing is that for my primary monitor (the one that is part of my laptop) I can choose between five screen resolutions, including 1280 X 720, which would be very nice if I could use the same screen resolution on the external monitor. However, again, for the external monitor it only lets me choose between two sizes, 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768.
